**SUMMARY**
**About the Role - Director of Food & Beverage**
The Director of Food and Beverage is a pivotal leadership position, entrusted with the comprehensive management and direction of all food and beverage operations at Park Hyatt Toronto. This role is critical in upholding our commitment to 5-star service excellence and ensuring an unparalleled luxury experience for our guests. The Director will oversee banquets, restaurants, in-room dining, lounges, and other food or beverage-related areas within the hotel, guaranteeing the highest standards of service, quality, and guest satisfaction while optimizing profitability and operational efficiency.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead short and long-term planning and management of Food and Beverage operations, both front and back of the house.
- Develop, recommend, and manage budgets, marketing plans, and objectives within approved guidelines.
- Participate in total hotel management as a member of the Hotel Executive Committee.
- Implement and maintain F&B sales/marketing programs to enhance revenue and guest engagement.
- Oversee employee development, including hiring, training, empowerment, coaching, counseling, and performance and salary reviews.
- Direct the implementation of payroll, reports, forecasts, inventory, and budget management for food and beverage operations.
- Coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless and efficient guest service.
- Resolve customer complaints promptly to maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction and quality.
- Implement procedures to elevate guest and associate satisfaction.
- Exercise strict quality control for both food and beverage services.
- Uphold and implement Park Hyatt standards of service, ensuring adherence to luxury service expectations.
- Conduct daily walk-throughs to ensure full compliance with Department of Health regulations and Hyatt Corporate standards.
- Maintain effective communication with Corporate Staff.
- Coach and counsel employees to embody and reflect Hyatt’s 5-star luxury service standards and procedures.
**Qualifications**:
- A Hotel/Hospitality degree is an asset.
- Must possess high energy, an entrepreneurial spirit, and be a motivational leader.
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills.
- Experience in implementing new F&B concepts.
