As we continue to grow, we have amazing new opportunities. As a member of the packaging production team, you will work in a fast-paced environment to drive and support the operations. This position will report to the Plant Manager with occasional work on Saturday's.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- This position is responsible for overseeing the flow of production and packing and ensuring safe and smooth operation.
- Responsible for scheduling, productivity and yield management.
- Ensure a well-trained workforce through orienting, coaching and training staff in new skills.
- Oversee and constantly monitor the flow of production and ensure smooth safe operation in every step of the process.
- Ensure the product and packaging standards are met.
- Meet packaging standards (code dates, packing materials, pallet usage).
- Identify problems or potential problems with equipment and process and take appropriate steps to quickly resolve an issue and minimize impact/waste. Contact Manager and/or Maintenance as required.
- Ensure all the staff adheres to food safety, health & safety, and GMP requirements.
- Maintain production and packing records, prepare notes on any issues, communicate all issues to the next supervisor.
- Provide direction, leadership, development, and support to direct reports through empowerment, teamwork, and on-the-job assignments; communicate clear goals, expectations, and provide feedback on a regular basis.
- Liaise with HR on workplace injuries and RTW program.

**Reports to**:Production Manager

**Shift Time**:Day Shift, Monday to Friday, some Saturdays

**Job Requirements**:

- Basic Microsoft Office skills.
- Baking knowledge will be an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, leadership qualities, and strong analytical skills.
- Food science background.
- Flexibility to cover alternate shifts as needed.
- Experience within a high volume fast paced HACCP facility and knowledge of Provincial Safety Regulations.
