Reporting to the Senior Manager, Strategic Consulting, the Associate, Consulting Services is an integral member of the team whose primary role is to provide research expertise and support to many of the various projects undertaken by the Strategic Consulting team as required.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Conduct research to assist with the development of clinical summary technical documents required for federal (i.e., Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health (CADTH), Health Canada, or Patented Medicine Prices Review Board), provincial or private payer submission files;
- Development of dossier components/templates and compilation of submissions;
- Assist with the recruitment of physicians, payers, patients, and other relevant stakeholders for Market Research projects;
- Gather the background information required for the development of discussion guides for market research projects and landscape assessments, as required;
- Maintain and update recruitment grids, and honoraria management;
- Development of project timelines including core responsibilities and deadlines;
- Conduct literature searches, systematic medical and / or healthcare policy literature reviews;
- Complete environmental scans of complex topics and synthesize the key findings into presentations or reports for clients;
- Support the development of client proposals as required;
- Work with the team to review all client deliverables for quality and accuracy before they are sent;
- Under the guidance of the Senior Manager, prepare PowerPoint templates, input data into PowerPoint templates, prepare and / or review PowerPoint templates for each project (graphic shells) and provide validated data;
- Participate in the assessment of new technologies to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery consulting / market research services;
- Management of monthly departmental billing and other operations support, as required;
- The Associate will also be assigned other duties and tasks as required from time to time;
- The Associate may be required to support other business streams within Strategic Consulting services as needed.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

- University degree in related discipline is required;
- 3-5 years’ of professional life sciences experience - preferably in consulting, or the pharmaceutical industry (marketing, market access, regulatory, market research, etc.);
- General understanding of the healthcare system as it relates to pharmaceuticals, including the knowledge of the drug reimbursement and regulatory processes in Canada.

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a multitasking, deadline-oriented team environment;
- Ability to successfully manage multiple, competing priorities;
- Ability to synthesize data from multiple sources;
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tight timelines;
- Strong attention to detail is essential for success in this role;
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills;
- Excellent organization, prioritization, project management and problem-solving skills;
- Bilingual (English/French) an asset.
