**Overview**
Shoushin, a high end Japanese sushi bar restaurant are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Host/Hostess to join our restaurant team

**Qualifications**
- 1+ years of restaurant experience, fine dining experience is an asset.
- Ability to handle phone etiquette effectively while assisting guests.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service and hospitality.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in high-pressure situations.
- Sake knowledge is an asset
- Knowledge of using Tock is an asset
- Knowledge and proficiency in the Japanese language is a definite asset.
- Smart Serve certification is required.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

**Responsibilities**
- Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart to ensure efficient service.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, assisting with inquiries and reservations.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and waitstaff to coordinate guest needs.
- Assist with bartending duties
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
- Work with a sense of urgency

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

- Restaurant experience: 1 year (preferred)
