**Description**

Our Client is seeking an Intermediate Business Analyst to work on a new dashboard to provide vital Human Capital Management (HCM) metrics. The Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for creating a consolidated workforce dashboard that integrates key Human Capital Management (HCM) data metrics to help Human Resources (HR) and management teams make data driven decisions for strategic workforce planning. This position will also be responsible for producing any technical and business documentation in support of this work. This will require close collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs, gather feedback, and implement solutions that provide alignment with strategic decisions. Collaboration with team members will be key to implement data visualization enhancements on existing dashboards.

**Experience Required/Mandatory Skills**
- Experience creating data visualizations, dashboards, and other information products for clients using BI/analytics software, including any or all: SAS Visual Analytics, SAS Visual Investigator, MS Power BI, Tableau, Looker, R, Python. (4+ years)
- Experience in facilitating business workshops. (5+ years)
- Experience in gathering requirements from a diverse group of stakeholders across ministries or departments. (5+ years)
- Experience with BI and advanced data analytics in a large and complex organization. (4+ years)
- Experience with Power BI reporting and SQL Server Analysis Services/Integration Services/Reporting Services. (4+ years)

**Nice To Have Skills**
- Direct, hands-on experience performing business requirement analysis, solution architecture and design, and deployment related to data management, acquisition, preparation, quality and data lineage/provenance. (5+ years)
- Experience dealing with clients and explaining complex data principles in a thoughtful manner. (5+ years)
- Experience in building analytical and quantitative analysis models. (5+ years)
- Experience making decisions and recommendations on highly technical or complex issues without formal guidelines or precedents and exercises resourcefulness and ingenuity. (5+ years)
- Experience using human capital data for workforce analytics and reporting. (2+ years)

**Location**
- Edmonton/Hybrid

**Work Environment**
- 5 months with 1 possible 12-month extension

**Hourly Rate**
- Negotiable
