**REGULAR PART-TIME MEDICAL LABORATORY ASSISTANT**
Position available immediately
**Job Duties**:
- Available for all shifts (7.5h) including days, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays
- To provide assistance to the technologist with the performance of phlebotomy, clerical functions, POC instrument maintenance and routine setup of samples for technical procedures.
**Job Qualifications**
- Graduate from an approved Medical Laboratory Assistant Program
- MLPAO or CSMLS certification required
- Member of _CMLTO Voluntary Roster of Registered Medical Laboratory Technicians_ preferred
- Demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft Office
- Phlebotomy experience
- Ability to assess concurrent demands, set priorities, organize work and maintain accuracy in a busy environment.
- Excellent communication skills (particularly oral/telephone) and critical thinking skills
- Strong team player with the ability to perform duties independently and professionally
- Evidence of ongoing professional development and self-directed learning
- Demonstrated excellence in attendance
- Understanding and demonstrated use of good body mechanics
- Must provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps rubella and varicella (chicken pox)
- Must provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing within the previous 12 months and documented proof of 2 Covid 19 vaccinations
