This opportunity relates to the modernization of the heating and cooling energy distribution systems to over 80 buildings in the National Capital Region. The ESAP project involves construction of four new central heating and cooling plants plus associated distribution piping networks over a period of five years, under a Joint Venture Partnership with another leading major Contractor. The Project Manager will have responsibility for a defined scope of work within an integrated project team. The Project Manager will oversee the engineering design, and be responsible to plan, organize, coordinate, procure, control and evaluate the scope of work from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget of a new CHCP to be constructed in Gatineau, Quebec.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Ensure company safety policy is adhered to on all projects
- Provide oversight of the electrical design of a new CHCP
- Manage the procurement and delivery of materials and equipment
- Manage and provide scheduling, planning, organizing of labor, and subcontractors
- Coordinate with mechanical team and other disciplines
- Manage the change order process for extras and revisions to the scope of work
- Liaison with owner, engineers, subcontractors, and tradespersons
- Monitor and increase labor productivity
- Responsible for cost control and forecasting
- Attend and run project meetings
- Prepare and submit construction work packages and estimates as required
- Review work/contracts/WIP for areas of risk and correct deficiencies
- Liaison with Authorities Having Jurisdiction

**EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS**

Degree or Diploma in
- Construction Management
- Engineering

**WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**
- 5-10 years' experience in the construction industry

**SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS**
Advance knowledge and understanding of:

- Contract management
- Construction scheduling, planning, and execution
- Applicable local and provincial labor codes
- Business operations processes
- Organization and time management
- Bilingual in French & English

Proficient user of:

- MS Office (Word, Excel, Project)
