Vinyl Sound is an audio store with a passion for mastering the art of reproducing music through high fidelity audio and sound production and with the highest quality equipment. Our goal is to provide positive experiences and satisfaction for each of our valued customers, by sharing our knowledge and expertise. Vinyl Sound is an authorized reseller for some of the world’s best audio equipment, including Harbeth, Accuphase, Technics, Primaluna, and more.
We are looking for an Audiophile Enthusiast to join our team in our store front location in Richmond, ON to assist with a variety of retail responsibilities.
**ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Receiving equipment shipment deliveries and lifting boxes into the store, while keeping an organized area for product setup
- Setting up audio equipment and staging equipment within the store
- Managing store inventory including where inventory is located, if quantities are low, and ensuring the store has enough stock for sales
- At times you may be requested to play music and demo equipment for a customer, at the direction of the store manager and/or owner
- Taking photos of products, writing product descriptions, and posting both to various websites and social media channels to promote and sell products
- Ensuring the store is kept clean and tidy, keeping products organized and easily accessible for customers
- Meeting and greeting customers as they come into the store
- Providing product guidance for customers on all of equipment for sale within the store
- Lead generation with scripted communication through website leads in order to find and source potential clients - training will be provided
- Social media management with training in order to promote Vinyl Sound through various social media channels such as Instagram and Facebook
**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**:
- High school diploma is required, and a post-secondary education in a related field is considered an asset
- Experience in a fast-paced working environment
- Highly enthusiastic and passionate about music, pure audio, and sound quality
- Experience with lifting heavy boxes and using dollies to move heavy boxes and equipment
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs
- Experience with Canuk Audio Mart website is a great asset though not required
- Experience working with customers and making product recommendations
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Computer Savvy and familiar with social media platforms, and keeping up with current trends

**Hours**: Monday through Friday between 11:00 am and 7:00 pm, Saturday between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm
**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
**Salary**: $17.00-$20.00 per hour

- Retail Sales: 1 year (preferred)
