Forklift Operator

**Whyte's Foods** is a family-owned food processing business that began in **1892 and **is the largest producer of pickles, relish and maraschino cherries in Canada. We are still growing and have more than 350 employees at our plants in Wallaceburg (Ontario), Laval, St-Louis (Quebec), and our Ste-Thérèse Distribution Centre. We are currently looking to hire forklift operators at our location in Wallaceburg

**Main responsibilities**:

- Operate a forklift.
- Use wireless scanning equipment to ensure accuracy of inventory.
- Pick wrap and stage orders to be shipped to customers.
- Identify safety hazards in the workplace.
- Load and unload trucks.
- Ensure the rotation of the goods.
- Other related tasks assigned by the supervisor.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 1 year experience as a forklift operator
- Warehouse experience, use of scanning equipment considered an asset
- Experience in food manufacturing
- Versatility, Team spirit, Punctuality and Attendance
- Ability to work in a team and independently.
- Post-secondary education is an asset.
- Available to work Monday - Saturday, day and afternoon shifts, and overtime as required.
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $20.00 per hour
