**Beacon Roofing Supply Canada Company is one of the top 3 roofing & building supply companies in North America and currently operates 20 branches across Canada. Beacon specializes in the sale of commercial and residential roofing products, waterproofing and air barrier products and roofing systems to professional contractors and dealers.**

**We are currently seeking experienced Boom Truck Operators at our branch in Concord-Vaughan, ON.**

**What will my day-to-day look like?**
- Operate articulated cable crane trucks to transport materials
- Inspect loaded truck for accuracy, compliance with weight restrictions
- Maintain accurate records for submission to Fleet Office
- Loading and unloading of materials on residential & commercial jobsites
- Follow safety policies and procedures while loading, traveling and on jobsites are essential in this role.
- Ensuring safety and security
- Use GPS, atlases and other trip planning
- Daily inspections and overseeing the condition of the truck on a daily basis (Follow a daily pre-trip inspection list)
- Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes and other equipment
- This can be a seasonal or permanent position which offers competitive wages, health, dental, life insurance and RRSP collective plan.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- **What are the requirements?**:

- Hold a Boom Ticket License or AZ Drivers' License.
- Hold a valid Crane & Hoisting Certificate, Class 3 driver’s license with air brake (Q endorsement)
- Driver’s licence (Class A) with air brake (Z) endorsement and valid crane operator certificate
- Valid crane certificate to operate cranes up to 20 tons.
- Forklift Operator and/or Fall Arrest certification will be an asset
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence between truck and branch throughout the day.
- Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

**What will give me an edge over other applicants?**
- 1-year previous Boom Truck / Crane Operating experience.
- Experience with building products/warehouse
- Forklift Operator and/or Fall Arrest certification.
