**WHAT YOU WILL DO**

In particular, the Sustainability Analyst will work use the Envision®, Airport Carbon Accreditation, IFRS S2, and other relevant frameworks monitor and report on project-level sustainability performance and ensure alignment with our Sustainability Strategy. Tasks will be focused on collecting, analyzing, managing and reporting on environmental and sustainability data from internal and external airport stakeholders, along with Airport Authority contractors and vendors. This role will also involve a significant amount of stakeholder engagement to help build a culture of sustainability at YYC and YBW airports.
- Maintaining environmental and sustainability metric databases and records associated with capital projects, primarily focused on the West Runway Rehabilitation Project.
- Participate on core capital project teams as a liaison for the Environment and Sustainability department.
- Research and propose solutions to environmental and sustainability opportunities and risks that arise while the project is being executed.
- Work with contractors and consultants to ensure all required documentation and data is collected, collated and incorporated into project reporting.
- Analyse data and develop documentation needed to prove compliance or performance in accordance with environmental and sustainability requirements, including the Envision® framework.
- Engage with key internal and external stakeholders to help build a culture of sustainability within the project and YYC broadly, using lessons from the project itself.
- Liaise and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including by processing information requests, and keeping records of consultation and engagement events.
- Support fulfilling the reporting requirements for federal, provincial, and municipal compliance reporting.
- Coordinating logistics to support the implementation of environmental programs and the YYC Sustainability Strategy.

**WHAT YOU BRING**
- Minimum of a diploma or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (sustainability, environmental sciences or engineering, climate change, project engineering, business administration) with general understanding of environmental issues, regulations and sustainability/ESG frameworks.
- Working knowledge of Federal, Provincial and Municipal environmental regulations.
- Experience with ESG and sustainability reporting frameworks, including Envision®, GRI, TCFD & IFRS Standards, ACA, GHG Protocol and Federal NPRI and GHGRP.
- Familiarity with lifecycle analysis and circular economy principles
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to statistically evaluate technical data.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, Power Point
- Experience and familiarity with SQL databases, PowerBI and the R scientific computing language.
- Knowledge of geographic information systems, including the ESRI platform.
- Strong writing and documentation skills with the ability to write, develop and update documentation, programs, policies and reports.
- Must be able to meet the requirements of a safety-sensitive position.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC).
