Whitemud Ironworks Limited is the largest open shop commercial fabricator/erector in Western Canada. We are a fully integrated steel fabricator and erector that specializes in structural and miscellaneous steel projects in the commercial sector.
We are recognized as an industry leader. Due to our reputation, we have grown substantially over the past 25+ years with established construction crews and three fabrication facilities across BC and Alberta totaling over 100,000 square feet.
Currently, Whitemud Ironworks has a dedicated team of 250+ employees. As we continue to expand in the industry and prepare for another busy year, we are looking for experienced and dedicated individuals to join our team
**Position Overview**
**Qualifications**
- CWB Level 1 Welding Inspector Certification (current and valid).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in structural steel fabrication inspection.
- Strong understanding of welding processes (SMAW, FCAW, GMAW) used in shop environments.
- Knowledge of CSA W47.1 / W59, AWS D1.1, and related codes.
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and weld symbols.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
