About this Position
We are looking for a Bilingual Licensing Specialist to join our Mutual Fund Licensing Department.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive and sort incoming mail
- Responsible for keying and processing registration renewal and Form 4 fees
- Responsible for the activation of approved licenses
- Monitor and update PFS reps information in PFSI systems
- Process accounting adjustments
- Perform departmental quality control by recognizing unusual occurrences and bringing them to management’s attention
- Contact agents to collect the missing information
- Verify the fees received and the entries in Mainframe related to registration fees are balanced
- Protect the company’s authority to do business by complying with legal and ethical standards, policies and procedures
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-secondary education or equivalent knowledge and skills acquired through related work experience
- A minimum of 1 year of office experience would be an asset
- Ability to identify departmental workflow
- Ability to identify problems and formulate solutions to problems
- Familiarity with database and mainframe systems is an asset
- understanding of the sense of urgency in terms of dealing with regulatory requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French
- Basic knowledge of accounting would be an asset
- Ability to interact with senior management as well as technical personnel
- Ability to work under pressure in a high volume, fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task
- Quick learner and ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
- Basic knowledge of MS Office programs (Word, Excel)
