We are a rapidly growing CNC machine shop in the Durham region, offering a great career opportunity for a CNC machinist to join our team.

***:
Reporting to the Lead Hand you will set up and operate C.N.C machining centers, performing various machine operations. You will be required to complete programming of all machine functions and adjust tools as required. You will also qualify all drawing dimensions as being correct and complete per drawing.

**MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Machine components to meet or exceed standards
- Review drawings and specifications and tooling requirements for each job
- Set-up work pieces & assemblies for machining
- Record all dimensions as machined on drawings
- Report any non-conformance dimensions on drawings or machines to Lead Hand
- Operate machinery/equipment and work in a safe manner
- Maintain a clean and neat work area and surrounding area
- Assist with other tasks, projects, and departments as required
- Carry out tasks/activities according to company & safety policies, standards.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- CNC Operator with minimum 5 years’ experience preferred
- Blueprint reading skills
- Able to do own machine setups and programming
- Other machine shop skills is an asset
- Good communication skills
- Self-motivated, willing to be trained
- Haas, Hurco and Okuma experience an asset
- Emmegi experience an asset

**Job Types**: Permanent, Full-time

**Salary**: $18.00-$28.00 per hour
