Our Calgary, AB location is currently looking for:
**Drafter / Customer Service Representative (Residential Products)**

As a drafter you will analyze residential blueprints and specifications to create production drawings for both customer signoff and production use. This will include determining dimensions, finishes and installation considerations as well as minimizing material costs without compromising the construction quality. The same role will also communicate with external customers, prepare quotations, and coordinate required paperwork for both production and field crews as well as other duties as required.

**Drafting Responsibilities**
- Use computer-aided design software (CAD) for the execution of plans and designs
- Handle involved designing and drafting assignments under mínimal supervision.
- Review drawings and specifications provided by builder/architect
- Engaging with outside staff to confirm dimensions and site concerns (when required)
- Create production drawings for precast concrete steps, and decks
- Specify the details of the product through the production drawings and ERP system
- Explain concepts to plant workers and store/manage drawing data base
- Maintain drafting standards and design documentation
- Review drawings for completeness and accuracy
- Maintain all revisions of project drawings
- Provide timely technical assistance and solutions to external customers and internal team

**CSR Responsibilities**
- Read project drawings, specifications, and analyze all other applicable documents to prepare quotes
- Generates quotes and other documents required for individual projects
- Collaborate with builder/architect during quote creation to ensure overall accuracy
- Maintains contact and relationships with builders and internal production team
- Maintain thorough records of all project documentation, including quotations and change orders
- Performs other duties as assigned

**Position Requirements**
- Experience as a Drafter or a similar role
- Experience using CAD, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam software
- Experience creating drawings from written and verbal specifications when required
- Excellent technical design skills and detail-oriented individual
- Exposure to manufacturing environment a plus
- Excellent time management skills to work on deadlines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent mathematic and problem-solving skills
- Experience with ERP system, Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
- Experience with project management a plus

**Physical Requirements**
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to access and navigate all areas of construction sites when required
