Impala Canada is the owner and operator of the Lac des Iles Mine, located 90 minutes northwest of Thunder Bay, Ontario. In operation for 30 years, the LDI Mine is one of only two known pure palladium sources in North America. Palladium contributes to a cleaner global environment, with its leading use in catalytic converters that reduce harmful emissions from gas-powered and hybrid vehicles.

The LDI Mine features a unique, ore body and modern infrastructure, including underground and surface mining and milling operations. The LDI Mine is in Robinson-Superior Treaty territory, and the land on which we operate is the traditional territory of the Anishnaabeg and the Me´tis. As a responsible neighbour in the Thunder Bay region, Impala Canada actively partners with local organizations, programs and events focused on healthcare, education and community development to help enhance the quality of life for all.

**Responsibilities**:

- Operating rock breakers, and service type vehicles like forklifts, small scoops, boom truck and U/G tuel truck
- Must demonstrate the skills to operate and maintain rock breakers, control muck flow, load, transport, unload, supplies and explosives and perform other duties as required and assigned by the supervisor. Other duties may include providing fuel and lube to the U/G heavy equipment and maintaining refuge stations and fuel bays. May also require sharpening bits, ordering supplies and making signage for the mine.

**Qualifications**:

- Must complete Miner 4 Skill Set Modules an demonstrate a basic competeence in the qualifications and capibilites required
- Underground or industrical experience will be considered an asset
- Attitude to work in a safe and productive manner.
- Demonstrates ability to work cooperatively with others.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions.
- Housekeeping and quality, pride in workmanship.

The position offers a competitive remuneration package consisting of hourly wage: $39.56, health & medical insurance, retirement savings plan and travel allowance. Meals are provided while at the mine site. Schedule 14x14
