Find out for yourself as we are currently looking for an on-site **IT Support Technician** for our Maibec CanExel siding plant in East River, Nova Scotia which is conveniently located between the beautiful communities of Hubbards and Chester.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

Under the supervision of the Infrastructure & Support Supervisor, the technician will:

- Ensure the return of calls or the update of support tickets to customers by recording all interactions in the ticketing system;
- Analyze problems to identify opportunities for improvement and propose appropriate technical solutions;
- Diagnose problems and failures and take appropriate action to resolve them within a reasonable time;
- Work collaboratively with other levels and teams in the IT department to diagnose and understand the most complex issues;
- Ensure the update of the IT equipment inventory;
- Ensure the backup of production systems (computers and systems in the industrial environment).

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**

Qualifications and Experience:

- Studies in Computer Support or equivalent professional experience:

- Proficient in the following areas:

- Microsoft Windows (Windows 11 / Windows Server)
- Microsoft 365 Environment
- DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, SharePoint, Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and Exchange
- Android handheld devices
- Industrial thermal printers
- Network Switching (Cisco or Fortinet)
- VoIP Technologies
- Backup Management (Image creation, backup, and restoration)
- Apple iOS (iPhone)

**REQUIRED SKILLS**
- Great ability to learn and adapt;
- Courtesy, resourcefulness, organization, priority management, autonomy;
- Ease in interacting with customers;
- Spoken and written languages: English (required), French (asset);
- Valid driver's license.
