**Electrical Technician**

Artika is looking for an Electrical Technician to join the Engineering team who will participate in electrical product development projects. The main tasks will be to perform various laboratory projects, including validation, installation and testing of products, continuous improvement of existing products as well as any new technical development concerning these products.

**Responsibilities**
- Organize the laboratory and install, uninstall, and store products under development as well as measuring equipment.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, electrical and mechanical plan.
- Build prototypes and electrical and mechanical test benches under the supervision of engineers.
- Install and verify electrical prototypes of lamps, heating systems, plumbing and others.
- Perform tests on components.
- Document designs, specifications, and test results.
- Prepare documentation and participate in commissioning and performance testing.
- Perform quality control.
- All other related tasks as assigned.

**Education / Experience**
- College diploma (DEC) in electrical or electromechanical engineering, or equivalent.
- 1 to 5 years of experience in a similar field;
- Know the electrical codes in accordance with the standards in force in North America (UL, CSA, building code);
- Experience with measuring equipment;
- Good knowledge of mechanical concepts and be comfortable with electrical standards;
- Good understanding of diagrams and concepts of electronic components;
- Qualified to set up test benches;
- Good knowledge of computer science and measurement instrumentation;
- Attention to detail and mechanical skills;
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, MS office and SolidWorks (asset);
- Valid driver's license;
- Bilingual spoken and written (English and French).

Salary based on experience.
