Automotive Production Associate

**Reports to**: Logistics Manager/Production Supervisor
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Parts and Material Transportation**:
- Operate motor vehicles to transport automotive parts, tools, and materials between production areas and storage facilities.
- Ensure timely and accurate deliveries to support production schedules and minimize downtime.
- **Material Handling and Equipment Use**:
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-moving equipment as needed.
- Load and unload materials onto vehicles, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- **Inventory and Documentation**:
- Verify part counts, labels, and quality during pick-up and delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of parts and materials movement in tracking systems.
- **Safety and Compliance**:
- Adhere to traffic laws and workplace safety standards when operating vehicles or equipment.
- Conduct pre-operational vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
- **Communication and Coordination**:
- Collaborate with production teams, warehouse staff, and supervisors to prioritize tasks.
- Respond to urgent requests for parts and materials delivery as required.
- **Support Production Goals**:
- Assist with organizing and maintaining storage areas to ensure easy access to materials.
- Provide general support to production and logistics teams as needed, including overtime shifts.
**Qualifications**:
- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent.
- **License**: Minimum of a **G2 Driver's License** (valid in Ontario).
- **Driving Record**: Clean driver's abstract with no major infractions.
- **Background Check**: Clean criminal background check.
- **Work Authorization**: Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- **Availability**: Minimum of **40 hours per week**, Monday to Friday, with overtime as needed.
