The Respite Coordinator assists in the development and promotion of a range of respite and home share services for individuals with developmental disabilities.

**Location**:Kaslo - Respite Services - Vancouver
**Start Date**:As soon as possible
**Term/Status**: Permanent Full Time
**Schedule/Hrs**: Monday - Friday // 37.5 hours per week (_Hours are typically Mon-Fri with occasional Saturday and some flexibility required to meet family/caregiver needs)_ **Hourly Wage**: $31.41 as per collective agreement
**Education & Experience**:
- Bachelor of Social Work, Degree in Social Sciences or other combination of education and experience relevant to job goal.
- Minimum two years of experience in the provision of resource services to families with a member who has multiple disabilities.
- Assessment, Counselling, and Public Relations skills experience.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Access.
**Standard requirements of the Respite Coordinator include**:
- Criminal Record Clearance
- Medical Clearance
- Clean Driver’s Abstract
- Class 5 Driver’s Licence and use of a vehicle for work
- Valid First Aid/CPR
- Non-violent Crisis Intervention Certification
- Demonstrated competency in English written and verbal communication
- Basic computer literacy
- Eligible to work in Canada
