Part-time Laundry Aide

QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge and experience in the operation of industrial laundry equipment
- Meet requirements of a Physical Demand Analysis (PDA) for the position
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English, both verbally and in writing
- Basic computer skills

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Using specified cleaning/ disinfecting/sanitizing agents, and following specific procedures, work patterns, and routines, performs tasks such as:

- Ensures privacy of residents during performance of duties.
- Adheres to established company policies and procedures regarding quality assurance, fire, and safety.
- Identify and meet residents’ clothing and laundry needs in a timely and caring manner
- Iron, mend, alter, and label residents’ personal clothing
- Take full responsibility for the delivery of residents’ personal clothing and linens
- Keep detailed and accurate records of residents’ clothing and rooms as required
- Demonstrate courtesy, a positive attitude, responsibility and excellence
- Communicate with residents, staff, families with regard to residents’ personal clothing
- Follow established isolation procedures and techniques relating to processing of linens
- Attend work on a regular basis
- Communicate residents’ concerns and suggestions to the appropriate individual within the Home
- Prioritize daily job tasks in order to ensure completion
- Promote trust, respect, and cooperation with co-workers through open and honest dialogue
- Work effectively and efficiently with mínimal supervision
- Carry on duties as assigned by Support Services Manager
