**Purpose/Summary**:
Assist Engineers, Designers and EITs in entry level design activities, produce Mechanical CAD/Revit drawings, provide assistance in calculations and other activities related to project management.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

**General Management**:

- Generate suggestions for improving work.
- Keep Group Lead apprised of activities.
- Participate in training courses as requested.
- Schedule workload appropriately, maximizing productive time.
- Work enthusiastically with the Group to accomplish common objective.

**Production**:

- Communicate regularly with team to ensure schedules are met.
- Comply with company Design and CAD Standards.
- Create AutoCAD/Revit drawings from mark-ups or instructions from Group members.
- Create working drawings using AutoCAD/Revit.
- Highlight completed mark-ups and return drawings.
- Perform design calculations under the guidance of Group members.
- Maintain drawings including architectural backgrounds up-to-date.
- Organize and print drawing sets as requested in a timely fashion.
- Produce plot files, PDF, part plans, CN and SI, as required.
- Review drawings for quality control.
- Set up drawings in an organized fashion and appropriately labelled. Set up X-Refs.
- Store, manage and archive drawing files and record sets of drawings in accordance with company Project Management Standards.
- Update backgrounds.
- Store and manage project documentation in accordance with company Project Management Standards.

**SPECIFICATIONS**
- Enrolled in an Engineering program
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Experience with 3-D modeling and REVIT is an asset
- Experience with reading and coordinating Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, Interior Designer and Architectural drawings
- Experience with Microsoft Office (including Word and Excel), BlueBeam, and general computer skills
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to think independently
- Detail-oriented
