We have a **four-month co-op opportunity available for a Electronics Technician student**. In this role, you will assist our Equipment Repairs & Maintenance team in various projects and work orders in a manufacturing environment. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with skilled professionals, leverage advanced technologies, and contribute to the success of Raytheon ELCAN.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Support our Equipment Repairs & Maintenance Team with work orders, projects etc.
- Work safely and in accordance with all applicable acts, regulations, legislation, and codes to ensure personal and public safety
- Interpret electrical, mechanical, and piping drawings
- Understand and use a variety of heating, refrigeration, and air conditioning tools and equipment safely and properly
- Willingness to learn and acquire knowledge/understanding through study, instruction or experience

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Completion of Ontario Secondary School Diploma
- Enrollment in College in an Electronics Technician discipline or equivalent is preferred.
- Exposure to technical drawing packages.
- Developing knowledge of PLC and motor control systems.
- Must have good eye and finger dexterity.
- Knowledge of electric and electronic controls preferred.
- Basic understanding of electronics at circuit board level preferred.
- Ongoing development of electrical theory, wiring, installation methods and instrumentation knowledge.
- Basic knowledge of distribution equipment, electronics, electrical equipment, protective devices, and high voltage systems an asset.
- Proven verbal and written communications skills
- Professional, responsive, and customer-focused
- Highly motivated with a demonstrated positive attitude
