**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Contract, (three (3) months with possibility of extension)

Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
Hourly Rate: $14.50

We are looking for an energetic, hard-working, reliable Production Worker to support our woodworking and plastics projects.

Becoming a part of the LakeCity team requires empathy and understanding for individuals living with mental illness, and a natural inclination to interact with our supported employees and program participants with respect and professionalism.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
Support the production of wooden stakes and/or wooden and plastic furniture
Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques
Operating woodworking machines and using hand tools properly & safely
Review work progress on daily basis
Prepare reports pertaining to project performance

**WHO YOU ARE**

Ability to plan and prioritize work
Team-spirited
Previous woodworking experience is an asset
Willing to learn and take initiative

**ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS**

Proof of Vaccination or medical exemption
Vulnerable Sector Check, this is required due to the nature of our work and people we serve. Do not let this be a barrier to applying, only records relating to vulnerable sector or workplace safety concerns will influence our choice
WHMIS, or willingness to complete
First Aid, or willingness to complete

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months

**Salary**: From $14.50 per hour
