**The Opportunity**

The Collections Specialist is responsible for collections of outstanding accounts receivable dollars from the existing client base and all other aspects of collections, resolving customer billing problems and reducing accounts receivable delinquency.
**The Role**
- Providing customer service regarding collection issues, process customer refunds, process and review account adjustments, resolve client discrepancies and short payments.
- Responsible for monitoring and maintaining assigned accounts
- Customer calls, account adjustments, small balance write offs, customer reconciliations
- Accountable for reducing delinquency for assigned accounts.
- Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the Accounts Receivable Department.
- Enlist the efforts of the Credit department and/or sales to accelerate the collection process.
- Re-issue invoices and credit statements to customers
- Communicate & follow up effectively with sales department regarding customer accounts on a timely basis.
- Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with sales
- Logging of customer disputes in order to communicate with the branch network regarding resolution.
- Ensure Equipment transactions are issued and collected in line with Credit Policy, including the approval of the release of equipment; managing liens on equipment; collection of equipment sales; reconcile deposits and discrepancies on equipment invoices.
**Education**: High school diploma; Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree is a plus
**Work Experience**:3-5 years high volume corporate collections experience
**Knowledge**:Bilingual (English and French). Knowledge of billing and collections procedures. Accounts Receivable Cash Application knowledge/experience a plus
