Hôpital Glengarry Memorial Hospital (HGMH) is a patient-centred primary care hospital that has been established in Alexandria, Ontario for over 50 years. HGMH provides acute care, complex continuing care, 24-hour emergency services, and rehabilitation to over 23,000 residents every year. **Position Purpose**
Operate ultrasound equipment to record images and worksheet in the examination of the abdomen, male and female pelvis, obstetrics, peripheral veins for DVT, and superficial structures including (but not limited to) thyroid and scrotum to aid in the patient diagnosis. Observe and care for patient throughout examinations to ensure patient safety and comfort. Perform quality control checks on ultrasound equipment to ensure proper operation.
**Requirements**:
- Current registration with CMRITO
- Current Sonography Canada member with valid credentials of Canadian Registered Generalist Sonographer (CRGS®)
- 2 years previous experience working in a clinic or hospital setting
- Current certificate in BCLS
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Strong computer skills including a working knowledge of RIS software including PACS
- Available as needed for all shifts, relief for vacation, etc.
