**Days/Hours**:Fulltime, Flexibility is required as hours will vary based on seasonal needs

**JOB SUMMARY**:
The Packhouse Manager is an essential part of the Greenhouse Operations Team - their role is to support the greenhouse operations by preparing product for market. They will assist the Packhouse Manager/Head Grower oversee production lines for our greenhouse facilities, a total of 90 acres, growing organic tomatoes. They will lead by example all packinghouse employees and ensure quality packaging of our product for market. They will help coordinate the pack line, including delegating work to the packing team to meet productivity targets. They will confirm food safety, quality, Good Manufacturing processes, company policies and procedures are being followed and ensure only the best product is release to our customers.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITES**:

- Daily start up and cleaning of packline
- Overseeing the packline to ensure line is running efficiently
- Troubleshoot issues to keep packline moving
- Assist in the supervising of employees to ensure the work is completed timely, effectively and safely.
- Monitor the quantity and quality of product ensuring that it is of the required standard.
- Monitor the working environment to ensure that company and statutory hygiene, and safety policies and procedures are complied with.
- Communicate all variances in packaging or quality to proper management immediately.
- Ongoing communication with Head Growers and Marketers to provide details on production quantities.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Assist in maintaining proper inventory counts

**WORKPLACE CONDITIONS**:

- Fast-paced environment.
- Varying temperatures.
- Requires walking, bending, crouching, standing throughout the day.
- Exposure to bees, bugs, and chemicals.
- Must be willing to work weekends.

During off season, responsibilities include:

- Premises general maintenance (example: snow removal, salting, parking lot upkeep)
- Packhouse preventive maintenance so it is ready for new season
- General facility maintenance as needed/requested
- Packhouse machinery inventory - parts, supplies etc.

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
