We are currently hiring **Service Support Teammates** (also known as **Porters) for our Tasting Room at Wayne Gretzky Estate Winery and Distillery. **These are a Service Support position in our busy summer tasting experience and retail departments, starting in April or May this Seasonal position can be full time or part-time hours. As a Porter at Gretzky, you are the backbone of our experiences for guests. This role is mainly behind the scenes, but you will sometimes interact with guests. It will require you to work independently at times and use strong communication skills with managers, team leads and our serving teammates.

**the role...**
- You are maintaining the turnover and set up of tours/experiences. Our tours begin every 30 minutes for up to 20 guests and tasting experiences begin every hour for up to 25 guests - it's a fun fast paced environment.
- You will be trained on general knowledge of wine/accessories in order to assist customers
- You may need to operate the POS system in the retail store and assist with upselling to achieve sales goals
- You may be required to bus tables in the seated tasting area
- You will do some food preparation and plating
- You will use your attention to details to maaintain cleanliness of food preparation stations and porter areas
- You could be lifting up to 40 pounds
- You will be getting your steps - there is lots of walking around the estate

- Self-starter; capable of working without constant supervision
- Ability to recognize when guests and team members would benefit from support and assistance; contributing to others' initiatives without having to be asked
