Applications are invited for 2 (two) full-time Counsellor positions in the Health, Wellness & Accessibility Services department.

Reporting to the Directors, Health, Wellness & Accessibility Services, the Counsellor will have a specialization in anti-oppressive counselling and healing resources.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the delivery of clinical mental health assessments, counselling intervention and case management to a diverse student population (including full time, part time, international students, students with disabilities and non-traditional student populations) with particular emphasis on racialized students. Adhering to ethical standards and practices, as well as relevant legislation; the Counsellor provides individualized personal counselling, resources and mental health programming that encourages student development and retention. Employing strong case management skills to identify, assess, assist, and monitor students at risk, the Counsellor will consult regularly with colleagues and work co-operatively with students, teaching faculty, staff, and administration towards achieving College objectives and contribute positively to the Health, Wellness & Accessibility Services team.

**Required qualifications include**:

- Identify as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, or Person of Colour) with professional training, formal knowledge, and lived experience supporting clients/students who have experienced the impacts of systemic racism and oppression
- Incumbent will hold a deep understanding of the social, political, cultural, spiritual, health and economic histories, challenges and opportunities relevant to racialized people
- Masters level degree in Applied Psychology (Counselling, Rehabilitation) or Social Work.
- Registration as a Regulated Healthcare Professional.
- A minimum of 5 years’ employment experience delivering solution focused counselling, crisis intervention and case management services
- Demonstrated experience providing counselling/mental health/crisis services
- Excellent written/oral communication, organizational, problem solving, analytical and teamwork skills
