Ancaster, Canada Brella Electric Full time

Brella Electric is currently seeking a full time Electrical Estimator, to join our team. The electrical estimator's main role is to assist in estimating small to large sized projects using Accubid to produce accurate quotes and bills of material. Responsibilities include:

- Prepare electrical work take-offs and estimates on small and medium size projects including costs of materials, labor and equipment required for projects based on contract bids, quotations, schematic drawings and specifications.
- Manage hours, budget, manpower requirements and scope of work changes for projects. Work with purchasing to obtain better pricing.
- Participate in closing the bid, bid review meetings, and other job closing related tasks.

Role Requirements:

- 2+ years electrical quoting experience.
- 3+ years past electrical residential and commercial construction experience.
- Full drivers license with a clean driving record. Some travel throughout Ontario.
- The ability to read and understand electrical drawings, single line drawings, building blueprints, and general contractor specifications.
- Up to date knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Code.
- Understanding of Engineering codes.
- Experience with Accubid is mandatory.
- Expert on reviewing blueprints, technical drawings and preparing change orders.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and computer work.
- Strong computer system background with EXCEL / WORD.
- Excellent communication skills to work with general contractors and suppliers.
- Communication is a key component of this role, applicant must be fluent in English.

Role Assets:

- Low/High rise estimating experience.
- Electrical 309A Licence and field experience.
- Establish and maintain tendering process, sets up cost monitoring, reporting systems and procedures.
- Coordinate price packages with suppliers, subcontractors, owners, designers and architects regarding tenders.

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
