Job Title: Production Manager

Job Summary

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all manufacturing operations across multiple product lines, including Instruments and Supplies. This role ensures efficient production performance, equipment reliability, and process optimization across manufacturing areas. The manager leads initiatives that drive automation, enhance quality, reduce waste, and increase overall productivity. As a key operational leader, this individual will champion continuous improvement, safety, and collaboration to achieve manufacturing excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing Operations
- Oversee daily operations across multiple manufacturing lines, including instruments, consumables, and supplies.
- Ensure production goals are achieved with a consistent focus on quality, safety, and cost efficiency.
- Develop and execute production schedules in alignment with planning and logistics teams.
- Monitor and analyze key manufacturing performance metrics (KPIs), identifying and implementing corrective actions where needed.

Leadership and Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of supervisors, operators, and technicians.
- Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Support professional development and create skill-building opportunities across production teams.

Process Optimization and Automation
- Collaborate with the Engineering and Continuous Improvement (CI) teams to implement process automation and technology upgrades.
- Lead lean manufacturing initiatives to minimize waste and enhance throughput.
- Evaluate new technologies and manufacturing systems that drive productivity and long-term operational efficiency.

Quality, Safety, and Compliance
- Ensure all production activities comply with safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
- Partner with Quality Assurance and EHS teams to maintain compliance and promote a safety-first culture.
- Identify and mitigate risks to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

Project and Resource Management
- Manage manufacturing improvement and capital investment projects from design to implementation.
- Track project performance against goals for scope, schedule, and budget.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on objectives and deliverables.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or a related field. A graduate degree (MBA or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in manufacturing or production management, with at least 3 in a senior leadership position. Experience in the automotive, industrial, or scientific manufacturing sector preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and production technologies.
- Proven ability to lead automation, process improvement, and lean transformation projects.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence diverse teams.
- Proficiency in data-driven decision-making and performance optimization.
- Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
