**What we are looking for**:
The position of Crisis Worker (Psychiatric Emergency Worker), Crisis Team, is part of an interdisciplinary team, whose focus is on crisis assessment, intervention and consultation services for individuals experiencing psychiatric/psychosocial crisis. Services of intake, assessment and short term follow-up counselling are provided primarily to adults, with some child, adolescent and family intervention as well.
**What you bring to Oak Valley Health**:
Master of Social Work, or Registered Nurse (degree preferred) with C.N.A. certification in Mental Health
Current registration with appropriate college / regulatory body
A minimum of 1-2 years’ previous experience working on a Crisis Team in a mental health setting
Experience with assessment and crisis intervention follow-up
Demonstrated well-developed interpersonal, communication and collaborative skills
Proven commitment to professional developmenT
Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards
Demonstrates a commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with organization related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required
