**The Opportunity**:
Dilys Consulting Ltd. is expanding its team and currently seeking skilled Dietary Aides to join us on a full-time, part-time, or casual basis. As a Dietary Aide at Dilys Consulting, you'll have the chance to utilize your expertise in providing essential support to residents at our partner long-term care and retirement home facilities. **What You Will Do**
**In the Dietary Aide role, you will**:
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including the Long Term Care Homes Act, Canadian Council on Health Services Accreditation Standards, and internal policies by collaborating with the Nutritional Care Manager and Cook.
- Serve as a key liaison for regulatory bodies such as the Ministry of Health and Canadian Council on Health Services Accreditation, providing necessary information about the nutritional care department's organization and operation.
- Assist the Cook and Nutritional Care Manager in preparing food and beverages according to menu requirements, recipes, and established policies and procedures.
- Set up dining room tables, clear tables after meals, and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas to create a pleasant environment.
- Contribute to serving meals and beverages, ensuring a positive dining experience for residents.
- Participate in the preparation and serving of meals based on established menus and schedules.
- Follow procedures to ensure foods are served at the appropriate temperature, prioritizing safety and quality.
- Provide residents with visual choices of meal options, accommodating their preferences.
- Work cooperatively with the multidisciplinary care team to foster a supportive environment.
- Actively participate in quality improvement and risk management programs, contribute to education programs, and ensure a safe environment for residents and staff.
**What We Are Looking For**:
- Individuals with good physical and mental health, collaborative teamwork, empathy towards others, initiative, creativity, and adaptability to navigate change, along with proficiency in tasks requiring constant movement and dexterity, and keen sensory acuity.
- Necessary credentials include Enhanced COVID-19 Vaccination, Vulnerable Sector Check, and N95 Mask Fit Testing.
- Successful completion of an approved Food Service Worker (FSW) program, OR current enrollment in an approved Food Service Worker program, AND a Food Handler Training certificate (A certificate of completion or proof of enrollment will be required).
- Prior experience in food service or hospitality roles is preferred, with knowledge of food handling and safety procedures.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, effectively prioritize tasks, and exhibit excellent time management skills to ensure timely meal service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with residents/patients and collaborate with staff members.
- Flexibility to work in various settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, or assisted living facilities.

- Dilys offers flexible shift options including days, evenings, and nights in 8, 12, or 16-hour increments.
