Minimum valid class 5 Driver's License is required; Class 1 or 3 an asset;
Acceptable driver's abstract
Physically capable of performing general labour (such as power saw work, sign replacement)
Ability to complete maintenance and repairs as required
Ability to climb up and down machine to fuel and service; change blades as required, unbolt and remove worn blades and replace with new ones. Note: new blades weight approximately 50 to 80 lbs
Ability to interact with residents and members of the public in a courteous and respectful manner
Ability to sit in the machine for extended periods of time;
Ability to work overtime when required
Ability to complete online paperwork and keep records of road maintenance.
Experience with MS Outlook and an ability to use computers

The successful applicant will be a team player with good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. You will be a self-starter who can work with mínimal supervision and be able to contribute positively to the team environment. This position works out of the West County Shop in Beaverlodge and will have a specific area to grade.

Typical shifts are Monday - Friday, from 7am to 4:30pm with some extended hours and/or weekends may be required to meet operational needs.
