**Overview**:
Oversee Corporate Accounting’s day-to-day operations. Review all month-end, quarterly and annual reports as directed by the VP of Accounting.
**What you will be doing?**
- Manage assigned corporate entities’ full accounting cycle.
- Prepare group timetable schedule, ensure completeness of all entity’s year-end financial statements review and tax filing on time.
- Prepare tax reconciliations and file corporate taxes.
- Manage loan summaries and cash flow projections.
- Manage all group insurance requirements and relationships with insurance brokers.
- Collaborate with Lenders for loan balances and loan reporting requirements.
- Supervision and training of corporate accountants.
- Work closely with the VP of Finance in performing internal review/audit of hotels and corporate accounts, Tax planning.
- Identify opportunities to improve current workflow processes and internal control, can make recommendations and can implement proposed improvements.
- Any other duties as assigned by your manager.
**What are the requirements for this role**
- Accounting/university degree in business/accounting/finance.
- CPA designation.
- Minimum 10 years of solid experience in accounting with auditing exposure.
- Excellent knowledge of current accounting principles and updated government (CRA) legislation.
- Strong people management/leadership skills.
- Proactive, with strategic thinking and highly developed methodological, analytical, creative, and conceptual skills.
