**Key Responsibilities**

**Hygiene Scheduling & Coordination**
- Manage and optimize the hygiene schedule to maximize provider productivity and minimize cancellations
- Coordinate appointment confirmations, cancellations, reschedules, and reminders
- Ensure effective recall management and patient retention strategies

**Patient Communication & Education**
- Educate patients on the importance of oral hygiene and preventive care
- Discuss hygiene-related treatment plans and coordinate follow-up appointments
- Respond promptly and professionally to patient inquiries and concerns

**Insurance & Billing Support**
- Verify insurance eligibility for hygiene procedures and assist with accurate claim submissions
- Track and follow up on outstanding insurance claims and billing inquiries
- Collaborate with front desk staff to ensure seamless billing processes

**Compliance & Record-Keeping**
- Ensure all hygiene services comply with current dental regulations and practice policies
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate patient records using **Open Dental Software**:

- Implement and regularly review hygiene protocols and procedures

**Qualifications & Skills Required**:

- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a dental administrative, coordination, or supervisory role
- **Proficiency with Open Dental Software**:

- Strong understanding of dental hygiene procedures, billing, and insurance processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized, with strong leadership and multitasking abilities

**Preferred**:

- Prior experience in a coordinator or hygiene lead role
- Bilingual abilities are considered an asset
- Knowledge of Ontario dental insurance programs (Private, ODSP, CDCP, NIHB, etc.)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
