The Seed Daycare is hiring a position for a center Supervisors

As Supervisor, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Supervisor with managing the overall operation of the centre including recruitment and development of staff, management of policies and procedures, child safety, environmental health/hygiene, and province licensing.
- Ensuring that all staff members understand the objectives and expectations within each classroom.
- Managing administrative tasks such as processing payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general communications.
- Understanding and enforcing all province regulations within the building.
- Implementing and ensuring completion of training for all staff members.
- Providing effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Ensuring licensing and other regulations are met
- Overseeing daily operations
- Working directly with children and staff
- Developing and overseeing a curriculum or educational philosophy
- Maintaining financial, staff and child records
- Developing plans, policies, and strategies for the daycare
- Oversee the program and support the team with training and ongoing evaluations of performance and room management
- Attend meetings, open houses and trainings as needed
- Update policies and procedures to meet the needs of the program and new regulations
- Welcome and assist visitors or officials from governing bodies (licensing, health inspector etc)
- Registrations and enrollment of children
- Receive and manage payments and timesheets
- Ensure that the day-to-day operations run smoothly and provide support in classroom when needed
- Ensure the policies and procedures are followed and ratios are always met

**Requirements**:

- Early Childhood Education Level-3
- Demonstrated knowledge of licensing and accreditation regulations
- Must meet province requirements for childcare employment
- CPR/First Aid Certificate
- Food Handling Training would be an asset
- On-Site Parking
- Police and Vulnerable Check
- Child Intervention check

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Montessori: 1 year (required)
- Management: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 5 Licence (preferred)
- LEVEL 3 Child Certification Course (preferred)
