Reporting directly to the Director of Technology, the Network Administrator has a vital role responsible for managing IT operations, overseeing network infrastructure, and ensuring seamless functionality of database systems. This position plays a critical role in maintaining and optimizing technology to support the organizations mission. This is a full-time, year-round position averaging 37.50 hours per week. Key Responsibilities: The Network Administrator will take on diverse daily tasks requiring a variety of skillsets, responsibilities, expertise, and leadership, including but not limited to: Network Management: - Design, configure, and maintain enterprise-level network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, cloud environments, firewalls, and VPNs. Implement and manage advanced security protocols to protect sensitive data and mitigate cybersecurity threats. Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize systems for maximum efficiency and uptime.Server and Infrastructure Maintenance: - Oversee the deployment and administration of virtualized servers (Hyper-V) and cloud-based platforms (Google Workspace, Apple School Manager and Azure). Manage database systems, backups, and disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity. Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades and scalability initiatives aligned with organizational goals. Administration of on-premise Microsoft windows environment including: Active Directory, System Center, PowerShell & PKI.Technology Strategy and Planning: - Evaluate emerging technologies to enhance operational capabilities and align with the organization's vision. Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices for system maintenance, security, and compliance. Collaborate with senior management to create strategic technology roadmaps and budgets.Collaboration: - Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand and address technology needs across departments.
