**Desired Results of the Position**:

- To officiate the Intramurals Leagues in a safe, controlled and professional manner

**Nature and Scope**

Reporting to the Recreation Manager & Recreation Coordinator, this position is responsible for officiating and scorekeeping various sports within our Intramurals Leagues.

**Job Duties**
- **Game Sheet Official -** Accurately complete game sheets, ensuring all player stats are recorded correctly and legibly.
- **Score Clock Official** - Maintain the time and update scores consistently throughout games.
- **Floor Official** - Officiate games by enforcing rules, assessing penalties, and maintaining a fair, controlled, and safe environment.
- Ensure games start and finish according to schedule by managing league timelines effectively.
- Organize, set up, and take down sports equipment efficiently before and after every shift.
- Maintain a clean and organized gymnasium, including sweeping and preparing facilities for use.
- Monitor equipment condition, report any issues.
- Support recreation staff by carrying out additional duties as assigned.
- Adhere to the Part-Time Staff code of conduct.

- Ability to make quick decisions under pressure while considering the impact on fairness, safety, and gameplay.
- Responsible, punctual, and professional in all officiating duties.
- Ability to maintain an inclusive environment by being attentive to cultural, gender, and diverse sensitivities.
- Maintain strong attention to detail when tracking scores, time, and game sheets.
- Officiating experience or strong knowledge is an asset in the following sports:
- Soccer
- Ball hockey
- Basketball
- Volleyball

**Compensation**:

- $17.60/hour
