**Responsibilities**:
Viola Ready Mix is looking for responsible Loader / Yard Operator to work out of GTA locations. The Loader/Yard Operator is responsible for a variety of daily tasks that support the efficient operation of the Ready-Mix facility. The Loader/Yard Operator is responsible for a range of duties including but not limited too:

- Responsible for the operation of front-end loader to lift and transport bulk materials to and from storage areas, to feed conveyors, hoppers and to load trucks
- Verify amount of aggregate in storage bins and fill hoppers to ensure adequate quantity and quality of raw materials
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance (check levels, tires etc.) on loaders
- Participate in making sure the quality and quantity of raw materials meets established standards.
- Follow established environmental procedures to ensure that the plant for which they are working is in compliance with provincial, federal, and local regulations and requirements
- Participate in ongoing minor maintenance and visual evaluations of plant and equipment
- Work with plant manager and other personnel to prevent and resolve problems as required

**Other duties**
- Manual Labor including but limited to the hauling of cement and/or additives from storage area in bulk or bags
- Help reduce concrete waste by filling concrete molds with concrete
- Assist in Plant Maintenance repairs, belts, pulleys, gearboxes
- Winter Operation, boilers, heaters and steam operation
- Adhere to all Viola Ready Mix Inc and OSHA rules and regulations, at all times and wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds

**Qualifications**:

- Post secondary school diploma or equivalent
- Industrial and Ready Mix plant operation experience an asset
- Heavy equipment operation experience

**Certifications and Specific Knowledge**:

- Specific mobile equipment training
- 950M Operator Training Course an Asset
- Confined Space Certification an Asset
- Working at Heights Certification an Asset
- Mechanical aptitude
- Able to lift 50Ibs

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $25.50-$28.50 per hour
