**Job Summary**

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Childcare Assistant to support our lead teacher in creating a safe, nurturing and developmentally appropriate environment for children.
This role involves engaging with children in various activities, supporting their developmental needs, and ensuring their well-being while fostering a positive learning atmosphere.

**Duties**
- Supervise and monitor the safety of children at all times.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
- Provide care and support to children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Assist children with daily routines such as meals, nap times, and personal hygiene.
- Foster positive relationships with children to encourage social skills and emotional growth.
- Follow all health, safety and childcare regulations.

**Qualifications**
- Experience working with children in a caregiving role
- First Aid & CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- A valid Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Food Safety Certification preferred but not required.
- ECE Level 1 or 2 certification not required but will be an added advantage.

Pay: $17.19-$20.23 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Work Location: In person

Expected start date: 2025-02-24
