Carpentry Instructor

**Overview**

**Duties**
- Facilitate classroom discussions and activities that encourage student participation and critical thinking.
- Assess student progress through various evaluation methods, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
- Create a supportive classroom atmosphere that promotes respect, inclusivity, and collaboration among students.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and behavior.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to share best practices and enhance instructional strategies.
- Stay updated on educational trends and incorporate innovative teaching techniques into the curriculum.

**Experience**
- Previous experience in an educational setting is preferred, demonstrating the ability to educate effectively in a classroom environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and needs.
- A passion for education and a commitment to fostering student success is essential.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 5 weeks

Pay: $60.00-$80.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- Carpenter: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Red Seal Certification in Carpenter Trade (required)

Work Location: In person
