As a valued member of our team, reporting directly to the Manager, Member Services you will collaborate closely with a dynamic group of Professionals.

**What You’ll Do**:
**You’ll act with integrity to**:

- Support the Assembly's financial operations by managing monthly financial reports, ensuring compliance with policies, overseeing the lease portfolio, and providing expert guidance to Members and Caucus Administrators.
- Assist with audits, year-end procedures, and ad-hoc financial projects, maintaining accuracy and compliance throughout.

**You’ll support our collaboration as you**:

- Manage the preparation and distribution of monthly financial reports, including budgets, travel, accommodation, and entitlements; ensure compliance and resolve discrepancies directly with Members.
- Provide expert guidance on financial policies and procedures, addressing expenditure, budget allocations, and entitlement claims, act as a key resource in the Manager’s absence.
- Oversee the Assembly’s lease portfolio, ensuring policy compliance, coordinating payments, and liaising with landlords and Members.
- Conduct audits of Member expenditures to ensure compliance with Board-approved policies and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Monitor daily banking activity, prepare monthly reconciliations, and manage inter-account transfers to maintain cash flow.
- Support election readiness and other initiatives by preparing financial reports and analyses; respond to ad-hoc data requests.
- Recommend and support improvements to financial systems, policies, and processes, including ERP testing and data analysis.
- Remain current on financial best practices and technologies to enhance efficiency and service delivery.

**How You Qualify**:
**You demonstrate excellence through your**:

- A degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field.
- 3+ years of relevant financial services experience, with expertise in accounting, auditing, and financial software.
- Strong understanding of Members’ financial policies, entitlements, and leasing/property management practices.
- Familiarity with financial auditing, year-end procedures, and Assembly audit requirements.
- Expertise in reviewing financial estimates and ensuring budget compliance.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex financial data and resolve discrepancies.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with Members, Caucus Administrators, and landlords.
- Demonstrated judgment in handling complex financial matters and sensitive information.
- High level of confidentiality in managing financial data.
- Proficiency in financial software systems and managing large datasets.
- In-depth knowledge of leasing and property management for handling lease portfolios.
