Clean Harbors is looking for a **Quality Control/Sampling Technician** to join their safety conscious team at the new **Port Hope, ON** facility. You will be responsible for providing waste water treatment services for various Clean Harbors and third-party vendors.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
- Takes and prepare samples of waste water for the lab;
- Operates and maintains Wastewater Treatment plants and provides services for incoming waste;
- Troubleshoots and corrects process issues and mechanical failures;
- Completes and submits all associated paperwork, as required, for regulatory and safety record keeping requirements.

**What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?**
- As per customer requirement for this specific site, a background check will be required;
- Bachelor's Degree in Environment Science is required;
- Previous experience with as a waste water treatment operator is an asset;
- Previous experience performing mechanical repairs on valves, pumps, is an asset;
- Ability to work around hazardous waste/chemicals wearing adequate PPE;
- Ability to work in all weather elements;
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision in a team and safety focused environment.
