Prep Cook

**Job Overview**

**Duties**
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring.
- This is often an independent position as our kitchen is fairly small. Recipes provided and regular check in's with management to ensure consistency in food quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and storage areas.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and notifying supervisors when supplies are low.
- Support other kitchen staff during peak hours by assisting with meal preparation and assembly.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required.
- Food Safe Certification & Knowledge of food handling techniques and safety protocols is essential.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including some mornings, evenings and weekends as needed.
- A genuine passion for cooking and the food industry, with a willingness to learn and grow in the culinary field.

This position includes sometimes working a variety of events there can be live music, karaoke, Dj's or various things happening outside the kitchen, and can at service times become a loud and fast paced environment.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.40-$18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 35 per week
