**First Cook, Gather Craft Kitchen & Bar**

**The Role**:
APC is seeking First Cooks to work in our newest restaurant, Gather, Craft Kitchen & Bar located within the spectacular landmark in The Leaf, at Assiniboine Park. This is a two-shift restaurant operating 7 days a week, and offers 20-40 hours a week of employment. As a First Cook, your main objective is to prepare and present menu items as set out by the Chef ensuring safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in all aspects of your work and other members of the kitchen. This position is responsible for working the whole line of the kitchen including the preparation and presentation of both hot and cold menu items set out by the Chef, while coordinating with other kitchen members in the process.

**Qualifications**:

- 1 - 2 years of experience in cooking at a contemporary on-trend restaurant.
- Food Handler Certification is required.
- Thorough knowledge of kitchen procedures, cooking methods, and equipment usage.
- Extensive knowledge of food handling and sanitization standards.
- The capacity to communicate effectively.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities while attending to details and maintaining a safe and professional work environment.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

**Wage range**: starting at $17.59 per hour (dependent on work experience), plus tips.
