*** Apprentice Pipefitters required for a pipe fabrication ship along with modular assembly located in Crossfield working with spools ranging from 3/4" to 48" in diameter. Employees are expected to support and participate in a "culture of safety" and adhere to and be ambassadors of Strike's Code of Conduct and Values, and to treat others with dignity, respect, and fairness. **POSITION DETAILS** - Based out of Crossfield fabrication facility - Shift is Monday to Friday - 10 hour days **CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES** - Read and interpret red-line construction drawings and blueprints (Isometrics, acorn, P&ID’s, etc.) - Assist journeyperson pipefitters and welders with spool fabrication - Assemble piping and valves in module and compressor packages - Prepare pipe and fittings for tacking, hoisting, and rigging - Hydrotest, assemble, and install pipe spools in the fabrication facility - Measure, cut, and thread pipe to the required lengths - Install supports, valves, piping, and control systems - Assist with trailer loading and unloading **QUALIFICATIONS** **Education** - Must be a registered 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year Apprentice with the appropriate provincial or federal authority **SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES** - Must be able to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testing - Able to lift 50 pounds - Comfortable working outdoors **Why work for Strike**: Based in Western Canada with a head office in Calgary, Alberta, we provide energy and industrial construction and maintenance services across the largest geographical area in Canada.
