**2nd Term Apprentice Roofer**

**Job Type**: Permanent | Full-Time | Onsite - Various locations across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Ontario
**Reports to**: Roofing Site Supervisor/Site Foreman

**Wage**: $35.00 per hour + benefits according to Union Provincial Collective Agreement (full-time position)

**What You’ll Do**:

- Provide assistance to skilled roofers installing and repairing roofs, flashings, and surfaces
- Remove old roofing materials
- Prepare roofs for re-roofing or new roofing projects
- Assist with the installation, repair and replacement of built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts, hot asphalt and gravel
- Pour hot asphalt and tar
- Clean and maintain equipment
- Setup ladders, scaffolds, and hoists in place for taking supplies to roofs

**Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities**:

- Hand-eye co-ordination
- Physically demanding; Bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads; Large workload
- Repetitive tasks, overtime required, work under pressure, fast-paced environment.

**Area of specialization**
- Conventional and inverted built-up system
- Modified roofing system
- Rigid pre-formed roofing system
- Single ply sheet membrane roofing system

**Job Requirements**: Minimum 1 year of experience in commercial flat roofing
