Purchaser / Buyer (Tier 1 Automotive

**Where does the Purchaser / Buyer fit in?**

The Purchaser/Buyer manages and optimizes purchasing activities and processes. Is ablet to negotiate the best possible deals with suppliers without impacting the quality and /or service levels established by the company.

**What can you expect as our next Purchaser / Buyer**:

- Facilitate bids, analysis and negotiations for goods and services
- Accurate and timely processing of all purchase orders
- Manage the day-to-day business relationship with key suppliers through supporting activities including ordering, communication of demand/ volume/ delivery time changes, issue resolution, sharing of end-user feedback, follow up on backorders, etc.
- Develop a strong understanding and knowledge of suppliers and capabilities.
- Assist with contract development and execution
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure continuity of good and services that meet the quality, service and price performance standards of the company, maintain Supplier Scorecards
- Develop and audit suppliers as per the Quality System requirements
- Works closely with Finance teams to expedite receiving and AP processes
- Works with other members of the Operations Leadership team to develop and implement Purchase to Pay initiatives that reduce transaction cost and consolidate volume.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively across different organizational levels and functions, to realize procurement goals and objectives.

**Are you our next Purchase / Buyer?**
- Post-Secondary degree or diploma in related field (Supply Chain Management/Business/Engineering)
- Minimum of 5+ years Purchasing experience
- Experience in the Plastics and/or Automotive industry
- Supervisory and management experience is an asset
- Experience with ERP systems is an asset
- Good knowledge of inventory and supply chain management
- Ability to manage entire order to payment process
- Strong interpersonal skills, Excellent communication skills
- Flexible to travel and work long hours as necessary
- Agility/Adaptability
- Results-oriented, determine and track KPIs
- Well organized
- Strong negotiating skills and critical thinking
- Proficiency in Microsoft office and related software

**Salary**: From $65,000.00 per year

**Education**:
