**What you’ll do**:
Reporting to the Office Manager, this position is responsible for providing accounting and administrative support to the Mid Island Co-op and its members, ensuring effective and efficient office operations.
- Processing, reconciling and auditing daily business
- Processing memberships (including transfers, age, moved, closes, etc.)
- Preparing and processing journal entries
- Preparing reconciliations for a variety of accounts
- Preparing financial statements and reports, including year-end reports
- Maintaining the General Ledger code list
- Processing remittances (GST/PST, BC Tax Claims)
- Maintaining spreadsheets (equity changes, liters/sales, market gain/loss, etc.)
- Processing Equity cheques and Equity-Patronage reporting to FCL
- Answering phones in a courteous manner
- Accurately recording messages
- Directing calls and responding to inquiries
- Providing information of a general nature in person and in writing
- Maintaining files

**Who you are**:
You are looking for a career in Finance and:

- You have a Diploma in Accounting or other related discipline; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- You use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook at an intermediate level
- You are self-motivated to work alone or can work as a member of a team
- You have strong communication, inter-personal and customer service skills
- You have excellent time-management and organizational skills with great attention to detail
